2011 ASWA CONFERENCE

Each year weather enthusiasts and professionals gather in one place to present and discuss severe weather phenomena occurring within Australia and abroad. The conference is now into it’s 13th year and it’s interest is as strong as ever within the weather community and remains one of the highlights on the annual calendar.

For the very first time Canberra will be hosting the event, and we hope the Nation’s Capital can provide a wonderful local backdrop to a national event.

You can expect to see extraordinary footage of severe weather produced by Australia’s own storm chasers, hear guest speakers discuss atmospheric science during presentations that we hope are both educational and insightful, and above all else, enjoy being surrounded by like minded people sharing a passion for Mother Nature’s most awesome display.

With the recent La Nina event playing a large role in Australia’s weather patterns during the 2010-11 season, there will be plenty to talk about at this premier weekend of weather.
