When taking photos in very cold climates and particularly when there's snow about, do you need any extra equipment to protect your camera and lenses from environmental damage?

When I am taking photos when it is snowing I use a DSLR Rain Cover. If it is snowing at night I use a flash or use the huge daymaker LED that is on the 4x4s roof, as it really brings out the snowflakes.

During the day the taking photos as snow. You have to be really careful as snow very reflective. You have to adjust your white balance. That's about the best tips I can give apart from getting out there and learning from trial and error....
