All members (full or part) have equal rights in voting and decisions, the only difference is that full membership includes the full range of internet services while part membership is provided for those who do not have access to the internet or who do not wish to utilise ASWA's internet services.
ASWA Membership Information

Becoming a member of ASWA gives you a selection of benefits including:
- Full access to restricted Bureau of Meteorology radar. This includes local and broad scale images, combined with hourly loops for all of the major radar stations around Australia. Free radar currently only provides thirty minute loops and no broad scale images. ASWA radar has a clickable map for ease of viewing. Click here for a radar overview.
- Extended access to the Strikeone radar archive which allows access to radar imagery for the past 14 days.
- Free Australian Weather Monitor Gold Subscription
- Subscription to Storm News, ASWA's magazine. This contains thunderstorm reports, significant weather events and sometimes includes theoretical discussions. This is issued at the end of each season, and has information on the previous season.
- Discounts on weather instruments from Australian Sky and Weather, including home and portable weather stations.
- Access to an SMS based warning system. 65 credits are provided to members each year.
- Receive weather warnings via email
- Access to Archived Warnings which are stored for 2 months
- Custom GFS plotter - no more waiting for slow US servers !
- Latest ASWA meeting information for your state is emailed to you, enabling you to enjoy and plan to go to ASWA meetings.
- First hand information on ASWA functions.
If you would like to join ASWA please visit the ASWA Shop to pay by credit card or alternatively download the MS Word application form or PDF version and send it to your local state representative. We accept cheques and money orders through the mail - if you would like to pay cash, it's advised you pay at a meeting.
